I’ve known Karla for quite some time. We were in the same graduating class together and I can remember the very first time I ever saw her… mostly because I remember all the boys’ reactions to what they were seeing too. She was tall, built like a brick house, and wore the biggest and brightest smile in the crowd. That day, 15 years ago, she was wearing a halter-neck summer dress complete with the oh-so-popular hibisucus flower pattern of the time and I remember immediately thinking, “Whoa. She looks so cool. I wish I could be her friend.” And somehow, fate brought our friendship together and I became friends with one of the “coolest” sweetest and prettiest girls in school. Somewhere along the way, Karla and Danny met in school as well. Although their stories are different of the FIRST time THEY met, it became clear many years later that they’re story would be full of “first” moments together. These two love birds started dating while Karla was attending college in SC and Danny was studying at APP State. After graduating, Danny and Karla took a trip to NYC where Danny proposed to Karla by giving her the photo shown below. (I wish I could take photo credit for that one, but alas I cannot 😛 )
Karla and Danny are to be wed in late September at Brakefield at Riverwalk. It’s going to be a gorgeous day and I’m already stocking up on tissues!
I was a bit sneaky with this session… but because I love Karla and Danny so much, and because I’m trying something a little new with Brook Rudolph Photography. I put together this little save the date video below! If you have the time, I encourage you to watch it
While shooting Karla and Danny’s engagement session, I also added a few more bursts of images to create a stop-motion video clip for them. Check out the video here—> http://vimeo.com/90905177
